Ban Khok Muang community, a community based tourism, is located in Buriram province. The highlights of the community are to learn the history of ancient Khmer civilization, not only their strengths and identities as well as the amazing local wisdom. 239 homestays are one of the homestays to preserve these highlights of the village. The founders want their guests to explore and discover the way of the community such as, learning an underground water bank learning base, and a crab-raising center, etc. The homestay is also certified by Thai homestay standards in 4 aspects: safe accomodation, clean and hygienic food providers, equality (same price guarantee), and preserve local identity.

- Green architecture and decoration: Homestay was built and decorated with natural materials. Opened walls design allows air ventilation and natural sunlight penating instead of using electricity.
- Reduction of using water and chemical waste water drainage: Homestay implements a policy of changing beddings once for a maximum 3 days stay. (bed sheets, pillow cases, towels, doormat) or on guest’s requests.
- Plastic Reduction : Avoid using single-use plastics such as straws or utensils. Choose washable or reusable metal utensils instead of plastic.
- Electricity Reduction : Use energy saving bulbs and fans in the room instead of air-conditioners.
